DAJE Halling!
News 2024.05 – Update II
As promised, we would like to send you another short update and answer a few recurring questions. But because of all the excitement, it will have to wait for now! A miracle has happened:
The heart of HALLING Modelle is beating again!
Anyone who has ever visited the small, labyrinthine production facilities in Vienna will be familiar with the rhythmic thumping of the pad printing machines, which sometimes quietly, sometimes slightly excitedly, echo the company's heartbeat throughout the building.
After the start of the sell-out, this constant beat suddenly stopped and despite the lively hustle and bustle that has prevailed here since then, it has also become eerily quiet. But since the beginning of this week, the heart has been beating again! First timidly, now defiantly and next week perhaps a little more confidently...
We're printing again!
We don't want to reveal which model we are producing yet, just this much: we are completing an old series of models that we last produced in the 2000s.
Re-production, especially of the motorised models, is also running with renewed vigour. The first wave of orders used up the entire stock of cogwheels and decimated the 21 mm bogies to such an extent that we were forced to take triage measures.
What happens next?
We still don't know! However, we dispatched another 150 orders last week and have intensified our efforts to deal with the unprocessed orders from the shop. And even though many have already received their shipment, many more are still waiting for the proformas to signal the long-awaited availability of their models.
We are still just a small, family-run production company on the outskirts of Vienna. And yes, we make mistakes! But we will make up for them all, so please bear with us.
Is this the new normal?
The first e-mails are being answered and unfortunately the first cancellations are also being sent out. If we can no longer supply a model, it will disappear from the shop and you will receive a correspondingly sad message.
The process is time-consuming and not all of the items that are still displayed in the webshop are immediately available.
We are available again!
The telephone is staffed again on an hourly basis and the collection of models for which a proforma has already been sent is possible again during normal business hours. Unfortunately, we are still unable to process longer consultations, spare parts and coffee chat enquiries, but we will have time for that later. For now, thanks to your overwhelming support, we don't have to close.
Thank you!
We will be in touch next week with another situation report and remain full of respect and gratitude for the best customers you could wish for!
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / with best regards
Mag. Robert Neumann
